The Leap Motion has signed a large deal with Best Buy, so that’s where everyone can get their hands on one of these bad boys.

The way Leap Motion work bys tracking the motion of all ten of your fingers and converting that information into computer language that will allow you to control the mouse pointer.

The Leap Motion controller has a 150-degree field of view. It sense users’ individual hand and finger movements, and tracks all 10 fingers of a user’s hands at 250 frames a second. The technology can measure motion with an accuracy of a hundredth of a millimeter.

The designers of the Leap Motion was aiming to eliminate clutter on busy business desks or even just desks at home. What better way to eliminate a mouse than to just make a sensor that will transform your hands into a mouse. With this new technology, many other improvements will follow, the designer and producer claims that this is only the beginning of the evolution of interacting with computers.
