Mattel Back To The Future Hoverboards

Just in time for the holiday season, Mattel has decided to re-release the immensely popular Hoverboards from Back To The Future.

Although these are a non working replica, they are a perfect 1:1 scale model, and were created in collaboration with the film’s special effects supervisor Michael Lantieri alongside prop maker Mary Anne Lantieri and Bob Gale. Even though this bad boy won’t send you flying through the air like Marty McFly, it does have some awesome “whooshing” sound effects that add a bit of nostalgia to the mix.
