Top Horror Movie Picks This Weekend

By  October 26, 2012

It’s horror movie season and we’ve put together a list of our favorite thrillers to add a little fear to your weekend. Trust us, you’ll be sleeping with the lights on for a month.

This supernatural thriller has been terrorizing audiences across the country. Sinister tells the story of a true crime novelist that discovers a box of mysterious and horrifying home movies that put his family in danger. From the incredibly unsettling found footage to the stylized cinematography, Sinister is disturbing from start to finish.

A sequel to the popular 2006 film Silent Hill. Silent Hill Revelation tells the story of Heather Mason and her father Christopher Da Silva. After her father goes missing Heather has a revelation that will change her entire perception of the world she thinks she knows. The Silent Hill franchise excels at creating horrifying imagery and Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is no exception.

Paranormal Activity was a huge success and added something fresh to the horror genre. The fourth installment in the series doesn’t disappoint. The film offers more of a surprise factor than any real sense of fear and the faux amateur camera work continues to add an unsettling “it could happen to you” vibe.
